Course Description: This 18-hole, par-72 course, designed by Chip Powell, is bordered by old growth forest and the Myakka River, and participates in the Audubon’s Cooperative Sanctuary Program. Five sets of tee markers accommodate golfers of all skill levels, with strategy, thoughtfulness and shot-making skills being far more important than strength alone.

Community Description: At the Venetian Golf and River Club, 663 of more than 1,000 acres are devoted to golf course, lakes, wetlands, conservation areas and a 70-acre nature park. The community has four distinct neighborhoods: Castello with its grand villa homes, Stivali and Rialto with their estate homes, and San Marco with its courtyard homes. Amenities: Driving range, putting green, clubhouse, pro shop, twilight rate, lessons, club rental, snack bar, restaurant, lounge, fitness club, heated resort-style pool, heated lap pool, tennis courts.
